Company enrichment API benchmark 2026: Crustdata, Fiber, Coresignal, People Data Labs and Nyne
Crustdata matched the right company for 93 of 100 companies, one ahead of Fiber at 92. Coresignal scored 89, People Data Labs 87 and Nyne 79.
Crustdata matched the right company identity for 93 of 100 companies, the highest result of the five providers tested. Fiber was one company behind at 92, Coresignal scored 89, People Data Labs 87 and Nyne 79. The top two are separated by a single company, so on a panel this size they are effectively level. The gap that matters is at the bottom, where Nyne is 14 points behind the leader.
A company enrichment API takes a company, usually a domain or a name, and returns firmographic data such as who the company is and what it does. The first thing to check is whether the API found the right company at all. This benchmark grades exactly that, against answers that were already known.
The short version:
- Crustdata leads at 93%, one point ahead of Fiber at 92%. The two are close enough that a different panel could reverse them.
- Coresignal (89%) and People Data Labs (87%) form a middle group, 4 and 6 points behind the leader.
- Nyne is last at 79%, and it is also the provider whose score falls the most between person enrichment and company enrichment.
Which API matches the most companies correctly?
Crustdata did, with 93 of 100. Fiber matched 92, Coresignal 89, People Data Labs 87 and Nyne 79. Every provider received the same 100 companies.

| Provider | Identity matched | Companies (of 100) |
|---|---|---|
| Crustdata | 93% | 93 |
| Fiber | 92% | 92 |
| Coresignal | 89% | 89 |
| People Data Labs | 87% | 87 |
| Nyne | 79% | 79 |
The table has three tiers. Crustdata and Fiber are within 1 point of each other. Coresignal and People Data Labs are within 2 points of each other, and 3 to 6 points under the top two. Nyne sits alone, 8 points behind People Data Labs. With 100 companies, each company is worth one point, so a gap of 1 or 2 is small enough that it should not decide a purchase on its own.
How was this benchmark measured?
The test used a fixed panel with known answers and graded every response against them.
- Panel. 100 companies whose identity was already known.
- Hit. A provider scored a point for a company when its response matched the known identity.
- Same input. Each API was called on the same panel, and the score is matches out of 100.
- Providers. Crustdata, Fiber, Coresignal, People Data Labs and Nyne all took the test.
- Run date. 3 September 2026.
There are limits. This test measures whether the right company was identified. It does not grade every firmographic field an API can return, such as headcount, funding or technology. It also says nothing about price or speed. A panel of 100 companies is small, so treat gaps of a point or two as ties. The methodology page explains how the separate APIbenchmarks Index scores documentation, reliability, ecosystem and access for each API.
Does a provider that matches people well also match companies well?
Not always. The same five providers also took a person enrichment test on a panel of 100 people, run on the same date. The chart puts the two results side by side.

| Provider | Company identity matched | Right person matched |
|---|---|---|
| Crustdata | 93% | 99% |
| Fiber | 92% | 98% |
| Coresignal | 89% | 100% |
| People Data Labs | 87% | 92% |
| Nyne | 79% | 100% |
Person enrichment was easier for everyone. Every provider scored at least 92% on people, and Coresignal and Nyne both matched all 100. Company enrichment spreads the field out more. The range on people is 8 points, from 92 to 100. On companies it is 14 points, from 79 to 93.
Nyne shows the biggest difference. It matched 100 of 100 people and 79 of 100 companies, a drop of 21 points. Coresignal drops 11 points, from 100 to 89. Crustdata and Fiber each drop 6 points, and People Data Labs drops 5. So the order flips. Coresignal and Nyne lead on people, while Crustdata and Fiber lead on companies. If your workload covers both, the two tests point to different top providers.
The tests ask for different things. A company can have several names, a parent, a rebrand or a domain that redirects, and the match depends on resolving to the right one. This benchmark records the result and does not explain the cause for any single provider.
How do these providers compare on price and API access?
Match rate is one input. The APIbenchmarks Index also records how each API is sold, how it is documented and how easy it is to start using. Four of the five providers are in the data enrichment index. Nyne has no entry there.
| Basis | Crustdata | People Data Labs | Coresignal | Fiber |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Company identity matched | 93% | 87% | 89% | 92% |
| APIbenchmarks Index | 95.7 (A+) | 84.9 (B) | 75.2 (B) | 69.9 (C) |
| Documentation | 96 | 88 | 80 | 80 |
| Reliability | 95 | 82 | 78 | 60 |
| Accessibility | 97 | 90 | 76 | 62 |
| Pricing model | Per credit (additive) | Per enrichment credit | Monthly credit subscription | Credit-based ($0.02 per credit) on monthly plans |
| Free access | Free trial credits and a free-forever tier | 100 person or company lookups a month, with emails and phones obfuscated | 7-day trial with 2,000 credits, no recurring free tier | 7-day trial |

The two measures agree on the top and disagree further down. Crustdata has both the best match rate and the highest index score. Fiber is second on matching at 92% but has the lowest index score of the four at 69.9, with a reliability score of 60 and an accessibility score of 62. Coresignal is third on matching and third on the index. People Data Labs is fourth on matching, but its index score of 84.9 is second, because of its documentation and its free tier.
The index scores are separate from the hands-on test. They rate documentation, reliability, ecosystem and access, and they were last verified on different dates for different providers. Read them as a view of how easy an API is to adopt, and the match rate as a view of what it returned on this panel. The bottom line on each provider
- Crustdata. First on company identity at 93%, first on the index at 95.7, and third on person matching at 99%. One point ahead of Fiber, so the lead over the second place is small.
- Fiber. Second on company identity at 92% and fourth on person matching at 98%. Its index score of 69.9 is the lowest of the four indexed providers.
- Coresignal. Third on company identity at 89%, and tied for first on person matching at 100%. Index score 75.2.
- People Data Labs. Fourth on company identity at 87% and last on person matching at 92%. Index score 84.9, second of the four.
- Nyne. Last on company identity at 79%, though it matched 100% of people. It is not in the enrichment index.
How to benchmark company enrichment providers yourself
These results come from one panel of 100 companies. Your accounts may lean toward a region, a size band or an industry where the order is different. Take a list of companies from your own CRM where you already know the right identity, send the same list to each provider you are considering, and count only the ones that match. A hundred is enough to see big gaps like the 14 points between first and last here. It is not enough to separate two providers that are one or two points apart, so use a larger list if the top of your shortlist is that tight.
Run your people through the same process, since the two can rank differently, as the tables above show. The technographics benchmark shows how to build a shared answer key when no single source is trusted, and the data enrichment index lists every provider with its pricing and free access.
