Rather than generating integrations for arbitrary software, it maintains permissioned direct connections into payroll providers and employer systems, and exposes them as one normalised API for income, employment and asset verification. For developers this is the most pleasant experience in the category. Truv holds SOC 2 Type II, which matters because every customer here is a lender or CRA handling consumer data under FCRA.

The limits are scope and generality. Truv solves exactly one vertical: if the API-less system blocking you is a trucking TMS, an EHR or a claims portal, Truv has nothing for you.
