Lusha
Lusha · Ranked #8 of 19 in Data Enrichment APIs
Sales-intelligence platform with a documented v3 REST API (person, company, prospecting, signals, lookalike) and an MCP server; API keys exist on every plan, but the free and Starter tiers are capped at 100 requests/day and credits drain fast.

Overview
Lusha is a sales-intelligence product that began as a LinkedIn browser extension and now also exposes a public REST API (v3) covering Person enrichment, Company enrichment, Prospecting (filtered database search), Signals (job changes, promotions), Lookalike matching and Conversation Intelligence. The same data is reachable through an MCP server and webhooks, and native connectors exist for HubSpot, Salesforce and n8n. The buyer is mostly a salesperson or RevOps team; the API is a secondary surface on top of a UI-first product.
On the evidence, Lusha's strengths are documentation structure (a docs hub with API reference, fundamentals, tutorials, a v3 migration guide, an error-code reference and a changelog), published per-plan rate limits (Free and Starter 40/min and 100/day, Pro 50/min and 1,500/day, Premium 300/min and 18,000/day, Scale 300/min and 50,000/day), and a clear credit rule (email 1 credit, phone 5, company 1, bulk 1-25 results counted as one request credit). The docs state every user gets an API key by default on every plan including Free, which is genuinely low-friction, although one third-party review claims keys are Premium/Scale only; the primary docs were used and the conflict is flagged here. Pricing is public (Free 40 credits/month; Starter about $49.90/month for 400 credits; Professional about $69.90/month for 600; Premium about $399.90/month for 3,400).
The weaknesses are an absence of official language SDKs in the sources reviewed, a daily request cap of 100 on Free and Starter that makes the API impractical for bulk work, rapid credit burn reported by reviewers, and a stark reputation split: G2 about 4.3/5 (1,400+ reviews) versus Trustpilot about 1.2/5 (747 reviews), the latter driven by privacy/opt-out, billing and support complaints. Phone accuracy and non-US coverage draw the most data-quality criticism. The status page (status.lusha.com) tracks 10 components and aggregators show recent API latency and prospecting disruption incidents in May-June 2026, but no numeric SLA was found.
How this score is derived
The APIbenchmarks Index is a weighted sum of four dimensions, each scored on an absolute 0–100 reference scale. See the methodology for every mapping.
| Dimension | Score | Weight | Contribution |
|---|---|---|---|
| Documentation & DXDocs hub at docs.lusha.com has API reference, fundamentals, tutorials, webhooks, a v3 migration guide, error-code reference, MCP docs and a changelog, with published per-plan rate limits and credit rules; no official SDK or language samples beyond REST were confirmed, and exact reference depth per endpoint was not fully reviewed. | 76 | 30% | 22.8 |
| ReliabilityA public status page (status.lusha.com) tracks 10 components including the API, and Pingoru recorded 4 incidents and 99.44% uptime over 90 days with dated API latency (May 13, 2026) and prospecting disruption (May 5, 2026) incidents; no contractual uptime SLA was found, so scored above the no-status-page tier but below a published-SLA provider. | 78 | 25% | 19.5 |
| Ecosystem & SDKsMCP server, webhooks, and native HubSpot, Salesforce and n8n connectors plus a browser extension give workflow reach, but no official language SDKs were found in the sources reviewed. | 68 | 25% | 17.0 |
| AccessibilityEvery plan including Free gets an API key per the docs and pricing is public (Free 40 credits/month), which is low-friction, but Free/Starter are capped at 100 requests/day, credits drain quickly, and the primary buyer path is the UI product; one third-party source conflicts on key availability, so scored conservatively. | 72 | 20% | 14.4 |
